Back from Kauai. Bummer. Going on vacation always depresses me. It make me realize how much chaos is in my life and that it really doesn't matter cause life goes on when you are not there. I guess until the bills come due anyway. There were 13 of us, my two best friends and their families. It was a blast cause we took over every resturant and airplane. Patron and poker every night, free mai tais on tuesdays and thursdays, sweet. Check out the $1 board shorts I scored at the Hawaiian garage sale. That was the coolest.
I have to say that flying in our post 9/11 world sucks. The flight attendants treated us like crap, and they looked miserable the whole time. Can't say I blame them though. Flying today seems like Greyhound in the 70's. Anyway, I am still on island time and can't get out of bed till 9.
Saw this over at
C&L about Lee Iococca.
"Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course."
Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I'll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out! "Pretty cool. I can't believe some people are still drinking the cool aid.
Sea Otter is this weekend. Unless you are racing that place is a zoo. Should be a lot of cool racing action, I can't motivate to go there.
I still need to post on my Xterra event two weeks ago. That is a story for another day. Anyway, another rambling post, sorry.
